I have flights booked for 26th sept til 3rd october 2006 and i am looking for an apartment or villa in the costa del sol area. Has anybody got advice about sites to look at or personal experience and recommendation. ideally near to facilities, such as beach and a few pubs.
my party is 10 people, of which one is a 4yr old and two teenagers. I am looking at a bugdet of about £900 at the most for a week. all advice welcome.
cheers keith

Not sure about areas to go to but a good site for booking accommodation is https://www.findspainrooms.com
Booked with them a couple of times and haven't had problems, in fact, have been upgraded on both occasions without asking as we weren't with the 'package holiday company'. Can't be bad.

If you go online to Daltons weekly there are lots of private apartments/villas to rent but I've been looking at a place called Benal Beach a massive complex with slides into the pool originally been an exclusive timeshare resort at Benalmadena I was told. Not stayed there at the same apartments so can't vouch for it but the resort itself is nice.If you put it into Google you will find lots of companies offering apartments in there.Good luck0

Hi Keith
I know the Costa del Sol well I've holidayed all around here for many years and I think that the best place you could go to would be Nerja. It's really lovely here and is suitable for all ages.

If you look around you should be able to find a cheap place to stay also I've stayed at the perla marina hotel who also have townhouses I picked up a price list for the townhouses and the were reasona ble I think only cosmos package there but if you e-mail the hotel they also take independant bookings so much cheaper

I would agree with discodiva and Fortyfoot in recommending Nerja. We holidayed there a couple of years ago and it was one of the best holidays we have had. If you do go there, make sure you dine at Ayo's for the best (IMO)paella you'll have in Spain, and don't miss THE CAVES, stunning!0
