Hmmm, sounds like something for the local council AND the tax man to be... informed of... Google 'report tax evasion'...

Well, the DPS received my evidence on Saturday, so I'm just waiting on their decision. I know it should be pretty clear cut, but it's like waiting for the court judgement all over again! Fingers crossed, not that much longer...

    Woo hoo!!!!!

Just had the following message via email from the DPS:
"Payment is now being processed in your favour. We do not require any further evidence from you."

And the status of my deposit on the DPS website has now changed to:
    "PROCESSING REPAYMENT REQUEST"

Should be pretty good timing when I get the money since I'm about to go on holiday!!!!!!

well done you !!! its great to hear the system works - even tho it took a long while !!!!

now - pick up the phone and talk to the HMO office at your local council and tell them there are 6separate individuals living in a property designed for 1/2 - tell them you think it is an unlicensed HMO - that will hopefully protect the lives of these young folks who are being exploited

Just attempted to phone the council and leave a message, but they don't appear to have an answerphone, so I went for the emailing them option... Numpty boy may have threatened me with council and court systems that he knows nothing about, but unfortunately for him I know how to use them, due in part to you guys!

We don't normally have those jumpy things on this board Snowyemma - they belong over on the OS board , where everybody calls each other "hun" & something called stardrops is very important, but I think we can tolerate them in celebration with you. Well done for persisting

Sorry! Think I just got a bit over excited at the sight of the finish line! But don't worry- I don't call anyone hun in real life, nevermind online, and I don't have a clue about the stardrops thing!

Well done Snowyemma. I'm glad that the DPS has realised that they need to avoid being in contempt!
