    Hi Pee

Checked docs and full title is 'Continuing and Welfare Power of Attorney'. Yes I had these registered when they were drawn up. Haven't received back from the Office of the Public Guardian yet, but told this can take a few weeks due to backlog caused by increased demand.

Fee Note (for drawing up POA for 2 of us gave details as:

Fees £250, Registration Fees £130, ID Verification £35, VAT £42.75

As regards crossing border, I don't know whether these can be used throughout Britain, or if it is only valid in Scotland.

    Thank you.

They can be used in England and Wales, but I imagine it makes life more complicated. The fee in England and Wales is £150 - although I think this is coming down to £120 shortly.

Registration can take a few weeks... it is still a few months south of the border.
