  • I have been using my RazorPit for a year now and it is quite simply ingenious and the perfect solution to my long term wet shaving bain. No more having to replace expensive blades on a regular basis for me. Well done and thank you RazorPit!

    Hi All

I bought one on 28th June 2010 after sitting on the fence about potentially wasting £20. I am now pleased I bought it and will add a positive review wherever I get the chance (they would have helped me make my purchasing decision earlier).

There are two shavers in my household I shave infrequently, normally after growing a bit of a full beard. I get 2 or 3 uses from a blade before it really begins to hurt.

The other shaver is every other day and a blade lasts for 5 shaves.

We both put on clean blades when the RazorPit arrived. I have had 7 shaves (hey its summer!) and the other shaver has had over 20 shaves.

We are both still on our first respective blades!

I took off a heavy growth on Sunday, at least 2 weeks growth and the blade went through the hair like it was straight out of the cartridge new. This was after 6 other uses. I am actually shaving a bit more as its less painful and less expensive.

I am impressed by this product as the cost of razor blades is extortionate and I literally couldn't shave as often as I wanted as I couldn't afford the blades. That's why I got into the habit of having beards for a bit.

If you are on a low or fixed income £20 seems a lot but it's an investment, buy one!

    Any update on this?
  • This is probably not as effective but I have always washed my blades after shaving with soap, putting a blob on my finger and wiping downwards (so as to not slice my finger off!)
Granted that it's not as safe as this device but it's pretty much doing the same thing! I rarely get hairs stuck that stab me (which I remove with tweezers anyways) and the blade lasts often 3mths.

AFAICS this is pretty much what this device is doing. Frankly, you only need a bit of intellect to have realised this all (which I did about 10yrs ago) before this device brought it to your attention....guess most people thesedays lack such things!
