Vanquis and Cap one PPI

My partner has 2 cards one with cap one and one with Vanquis.
He cancelled the PPI but am now thinking could he claim back what he paid in the past, was under a year ago the PPI was cancelled. ??
If he ticked the box on the application how can he get around getting the money back as its not face to face mis-selling ????
Any advise would be great. :T

Hiya hun
It makes no difference if your partner signed for these or not, he may still have a case, for example of one of my cases, I signed up for a credit card in 2001 with lloyds tsb I thought it was all part of the application, this is generally the case for lots of people.
However please check for more info on this link here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
You will find some useful info on PPI mis selling, if any of that in the link occurs to your partner I would add that in the letter of complaint/reclaim.
There is a template letter you can use but add your own reasons, they have 8 weeks to respond in full, if you receive the standard fob off letter response first time, for example he may receive the standard response stating that he must have been aware of the PPI as he signed for it, do not worry, write back again.
They will let you know when its the final response, and procedures of how this can be taken further for investigation, such as the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) who are a free service to use with an enclosed leaflet of the procedures of complaining to them.
Keep on at them and post all letters by recorded delivery.
If your partner no longer has the agreements to these, he should write to their data dept to request for these, you should enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment to cover the cost of these, and they should supply them to you by 12 days of requesting these.
Good luck and give us a shout if you require any further help.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
