need a car with more space!

hi all
i need a car large enough for three children to have their own space and a three point seat belt on all. and enough room in the boot for a very large red setter.
have looked around but cant decide on a large people carrier if there is one with a large boot or an estate.
can someone give me some advice please.

  • Have a look at the Citroen Berlingo Multispace seems to fit all your requirements. I've got the 1.4i model and it's great, bags of room (more than the likes of the xsara picasso and vauxhall zafira). The best engine is the 1.6i 16v petrol and it's best to avoid the sluggish 1.9d.

couldn't fault mine . have the 2 litre diesel so good oomph and economy.also have the option of 2 extra seats if you need em. yearly servicing(depending on mileage) and lots of boot space(tho no space for the dog if you open up back extra seats.(you can open just one and setty would have his own bit of space
    good luck

great deals on 0%finance if buying brand new.

We had a Zafira and it was excellent for kid's having their own space...depends on your budget and if you want a newish car but I have a SEAT Altea and I love it...lots of room, 3 x 3 point belts ad a huge boot.

  • I'm sorry - we had a company zafira for a while and I hated it - a glorified astra estate! The rear seat is a bench seat - not 3 seperate seats, so it is just the same as other cars where the middle passenger has to sit on the bump, my children used to fight about who was going to end up in the middle! Granted you get 7 seats, but if you use them there is absolutely no room for any luggage or shopping(maybe an umbrella?)I drive a Citroen Picasso now and love it. I've had it for 5 years and its never let me down, however now the children are getting bigger, I was thinking of a larger car. Maybe a citroen C8, my husband thinks a Seat Alhambra - I'd love a Renault Espace, but I think they are a bit dear. We borrowed a Toyota Avensis Verso once, which was lovely, but again , quite expensive.
