    Well done,
Now just keep a running total of what happens each month so that you can focus your money better. It maybe that you are able to stick to the same payments in April as March but then have to buy gifts or something else in May. It's easier if you can see ahead what you have to pay out so that you can start to prepare now. You may choose to prepare by cutting back the shopping by a further 5euro each week to have the money available in May.

Oh PS Happy St. Patrick's Day ~ Don't get too locked but make sure you still enjoy the Craic
  • thanks totally Broke had a great day and didnt spend any money ha ha

    Hi Annamarie

Just hopping back on here again to see how you're doing, and you're doing great! Knowledge is power - thats what all the rearranging you're doing is achieving for you, to know what you owe, when you owe it, and that leads you to the kind of planning that TotallyBroke is writing about - and you're back in charge of your life again, and hopefully getting a bit ahead of the debts too. Your bank manager sounds onside as well, thats always a plus.

    Keep going! :)

So you are now not only within budget but also have a little spare to start the ball rolling the right way>

Do you have www.freecycle.org in Eire (it has branchs in many countries)

If so, then join as it is a great place for getting stuff for free, whether it is a fridge to tide you over when one breaks down or clothes.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • Hi just wanted to wish you all the best to getting DF.

My pearls of wisdom are to keep a spending diary - I can't believe what we've learnt from analysing what we're spending - and budget budget budget using the spending diary. You can and will do it. Lots of ups and downs on the way but you'll get there.

We started off with £50k of debt and we've nearly halved that already so good luck :T
