I got a teddy on the one I got just before my little girl was born in Nov, then got the medicine pouch in the one I got last month thru registering OH. I think they change periodically :)

No lotions or potions in mine, or even teddies, just a medicine pouch - this'll come in handy when we camp too! :D

  • For any of you that used the £16.50 No7 voucher and took a free lilac bag to the till - didn't the SA read the back of the voucher?

It says "Not to be used in conjunction with any other discount or offer".

Surely that means no free bag allowed? The SA's in my local would love to say "No free Bag for you!", they're so mean.

I had that problem in my smaller more local bracnh of Boots where all the parenting vouchers have to be added manually as the tills won't accept them (had apologies for this before). When she realised that was the prob she still wouldn't give me the free bag as she had scrutinised the voucher to find out why it wasn't working :(

I have thought this too, I received a lilac bag with my freebie but the young SA didn't read the TOCs on the back and I am sure someone on here posted that they didn't get one - I think it can depend on the SA and how alert they are !!

Off to try and get another one tomorrow - fingers crossed they dont read the voucher again.

whereabouts is the boots in kirkstall? i usually go to birstall or white rose but if they don't have them i could bob to kirkstall when visiting rellies in headingley. i know where the leisure centre is but thats about it! thanks.

Hi, I've just had a look and the earliest date on the jars is August 06 but most are for 03/07. My dd2 is 17 weeks, I've just started weaning her so these reductions are perfectly timed!

The Boots is very near to the leisure centre, it's near the Morrisons, in between JJB sports and Dunnes stores.

  • Had the most horrendous time at Boots today but have walked away with a few great deals.

Popped in as had 4 x skin care vouchers. Started well.
2x Time Delay wipes so nowt to pay
1x Avene trial pack in mesh bag - 95p to pay
1x reduced time delay deep cleansing mask reduced to £3 so nowt to pay.

This is when it got tricky.
Picked up two suncare No7 to get free bag
also picked up baby food for LO and other bits and bobs and had lots of vouchers to use from parenting club (not free No7 product)
However the sales assistant suspended the sale by mistake 1/2 way through and then it would not scan my vouchers. Ended up paying £19.40 (takien off nearly £10 of coupons) with 540 ponts which I thought was not too bad. She also gave me back two of the skincare vouchers and the 250 No7 points so now have two!! :)

However when I checked the receipt the till could not add up and charged me £29.10 for items that should have cost £19.06 BEFORE coupons. I was not a happy girl - the receipt is also soooooo confusing. I went back and complained later in the day and strangely the SA went off to check and came back with £10 and said this is what we owe you - it did not go through the till at all. I have kept the receipt and am going to send a copy to Boots with a complaint as was at the till point today for over 40 minutes in my lunch. I am now going to check all my Boots receipts as this was so blatently wrong.

On another plus point I am now upto 15347 points - mainly thanks to this board. Keep it up!!

What on earth the nice Clinique lady is going to do about the bags under my eyes I can't imagine! ;)
Hi mummysaver, I have huge eye bags too and the Clinique lady will probably recommend you to get an eye cream called All About Eyes. It costs £20  for a 15ml pot. It is meant to "diminish" under eye circles and help get rid of puffiness. DO NOT FALL FOR IT - IT'S RUBBISH!!! It has not had any effect on my eyes whatsoever, apart from the fact that my eyes became very dry when I began using it. It's a very light cream, so it made the skin around my eyes really dry and flaky. In fact, my eyes looked even worse because when I applied concealer, it all caked on top of the dry, flaky skin. It's also meant to treat wrinkles, but I'm only 14 so I can't really comment on that yet. Needless to say, it was a complete waste of money.

Clinique have also recently bought out a new concealer called All About Eyes Concealer. It's for disguising dark circles under your eyes, and it's also meant to help to reduce puffiness. It costs £15 for 15ml, but I have not tried it yet so I don't know whether it is as useless as the eye cream which shares the same name.

Just thought I'd warn you. Have a good time and don't be pressurised into buying anything you don't want! ;)
