my friend doesn't have a boots card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyways, had fantastic time in dewsbury boots today - it pays to get chatting to sa about sleeping baby in your pushchair!!
1st transaction:
2 no7 lip shimmer - £5.50 each, bogof & used £5 voucher so 25p each.
karvol vapouriser £5.99 plus 200 points.
everyday indulgence handwash £1.66 - 150 points voucher.
4 skin clear masks - 89p each with 100 points each.
paid £11.71 on cashback credit card & got another £5 no& voucher. 75 points on £10 spend.
2nd transaction:
Act skin cleanser reduced to £1 - 100 points voucher from Acm.
12 skin clear masks.
£11.68 to pay - another £5 no7 voucher & 75 points.
SA held door open for me to get out then realised only had 100 points on transaction 2 for act & none for SC! went back & she said coupon must have been dodgy (hadnt printed properly) so got another one from machine & she refunded them all then put them back so got my 1200 points. luckily i could show her receipt from transaction 1 to show it would do 100 points per item. she was well impressed. she held the door open for me again. (lady with brown hair on no7 counter - says caroline on receipt).
so total spent in actual money £23.39, points earned 2244 plus 2 £5 vouchers!! (if i added up right!)
i love boots!!
oh, ds1 wants to go to sportsworld this aft so might try boots at white rose centre too. addicted, moi?!Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0 -
What we need is a calculator type tool a bit like the recipe one they use on the Old Style board. You type in what you've got in your cupboards ingredients wise and they come up with a recipe. We have to type in what vouchers, tokens , cash we have and it comes up with the maximum goods and points combinations.
I've got 4 Bodyform vouchers, three 250 points tokens for No7 from bags, a £10 pigsback voucher. I went to our local Boots this morning which doesn't have an AC machine. I came out empty handed (shock horror) as there were no decent reductions. The cheapest No7 item was £6. I've got tons of Sun stuff due to getting the BOGOFs online to get the PURPLE BAGS (sorry Pash). Tons of skincare due to TD glitch. I don't really wear make up either but don't want the vouchers to go to waste so plan on at least getting wipes or similar.
I'm going to the nearest Boots with a machine on Thursday but they were both out of order last week. Here's hoping I can do better then.0 -
Hi Boots Tarts and Pah Club!
I am relatively new to this site, only having found it a month or so ago. I am amazed at all the different ways people are saving money and getting the most for the money that they are spending.
This is my story.
Last month my kids and I were all ill, so I nipped into the closest chemist to us, which happens to be Boots. I bought some medicine which came to just over £10 and was given a voucher for £5 off Olay Roc and some other stuff. It went into my purse and was almost forgotten. I did manage one return trip but had two under 5's with me and just didnt know what to spend this voucher on!So I left the shop and the voucher went out of date.
Then I found you lot!!!!! :T
Last week my Mum bought some stuff in Boots and was given the No 7 voucher. She gave it to me as I am more likely to spend it. Well, after finding this site and then this Boots thread, I knew just what to do with the voucher! :j
Before reading all this, I would have assumed that you had to actually be paying £15 to get the free lilac bag, when in fact you dont need to, and can actually get it for as little as £2.50 cash with 250points added back onto your card. I would not have thought to have done more than one transaction to get more than one No 7 £5 voucher. I didn't really bother much with the ACM, so never realised that you could get extra points vouchers from the ACM, where you actually received back more than you spent!
So, yesterday while the kids were still at my Mums (:heartsmil 'love you Mum!') from sleeping over the night before and while my OH was writing a quote for work, I told him I needed to go to Boots for some girlie stuff and wouldn't be long.
So armed with my list of purchases (researched from your suggestions and from Boots.com) and notes about points to get from the ACM, I had a good look around the store and I managed to get the following:-
transaction no 1:-
2 x No 7 hair spritz BOGOF at £5.50 each
2 x No 7 lip/eye shimmer BOGOF at £5.50 each
Lilac bag
The SA said did I know that if I spent over £15 the bag would be free, otherwise it would be.....she then scanned the lilac bag and said 'oh, it is free!!!'
So the total of that was £11. I used the £5 voucher Mum had given me, so I paid £6, got 24 points the free bag and another £5 voucher.
transcation no 2:-
Olay facial scrub (which I probably could have got free last month!) with a 1/3 off
3 Bodyforms on 3 for 2
Karvol capsules (200 extra points)
5 x SC face masks (100 points each)
This lot came to £13.23. I used my 3 bodyform vouchers and paid £10.23 but got another £5 voucher and 723 points.
Unfortunately I couldnt get a points for spending over £10 voucher from the ACM and there was also no voucher for 50 points on the bodyform either. So I have also applied for a card in OH name, to see if I can get different offers from the ACM.
So I came out of the shop ridiculously happy that i had just got about £70 worth of stuff for £16, had got over £7 back on my card in points, had got the free lilac bag and also the 250 points voucher inside! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I couldnt wait to get home and see what was in the bag. The lipstick is a nice colour and the lip/eye shimmer is nice too. I will give Mum one each of the No 7 lip/eye shimmers and the hair spritz as she is going on holiday soon.
If I hadn't read this thread, I wouldnt have bought all this lot, but getting it all at bargain prices means you can try new stuff without breaking the bank and i will actually use the stuff I bought too.
My only questions now are:
What shall I get with my 2 new vouchers and 250 points and
What do you lot all intend to buy with all these points you are accumulating???!!!
Didnt mean for this to be such a long post!
HAPPY BOOTSING ALL!! :j :rotfl:  :rotfl: :j:hello: Danigrace :hello:0 -
Hi Danigrace and we welcome a new 'Tart' in the making!

Just got back from my lunch time Boots trip. I bought:
3 x Boots own batteries 5.98 (3 for2 offer, 50 points)
2x Boots mouth wash 1.99 (bogof)
4 x SC face mask (100 points each)
Total - £11.53.
My receipt says I have received 550 offer points, surely it should have been 450? I also had a double points voucher to use.0 -
Maybe you got 50 points for each pack of batteries...another glitch?0

PLUS dont forget that you can get the £5.00 no.7 voucher for spending £10 . This is fab when buying the face masks i.e 12 masks = £10.68 means u get 1200 points(12.00) + free £5.00 no.7 voucher
Can you please tell me if you need to use 12X 100 points vouchers, or will it automatically give you the 1200 points with the one voucher. Also can anyone tell me what the sc masks look like and what section to find them in.
Thanks

I only had to use 1 voucher for all my face pack purchases.0
