Thursday 12/3/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking - only 1 days to pay day
  • update spreadsheets
  • move some money to savings
  • make a loaf in breadmaker and flapjacks in remoska
  • storecupboard lunch and tea
  • make steak pie and cherry pie with couple of tins of m&s stuff mum gave me yesterday
  • laundry hokey cokey for OH
  • ironing for me
  • reduce, reuse,recycle one thing
  • swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
  • aim for no spend day
  • sparkle a lot - favourite purple cow socks on today
  • use lots of smilies to cheer me up
Good morning lovely dfw'sjumping0044.gif, Hi to all the regular postersHShearts.gif and welcome to any newbies welcome2.gif.
Have a good day everyone - the sun is shining here and everyone is in a good mood. Weigh in tonight for me at the gym - expecting good things as I have been soooo good all week:rolleyes:

Sending hugs to anyone in need xxx

Catch up with you all later :D

Reduce,re-use, recycle.

    Morning all

Still yucky today but slightly livelier than yesterday. Had to call OH home from work halfway through morning. He was brilliant, bless him. Had doctors appt yesterday afternoon for something else so got him to look at my throat. He said "oh thats nasty" which really helped. :rotfl: Apparently its a viral throat infection. Lots of rest (fat chance), fluids etc.

SO , won't be doing much today.

    * take Piglet to nursery at 1pm and then go to bed!
    * One lot of washing at 30'c - airer dry
    * Free dinner - mum sent a nice pie over
    * Ring Nan to thank her for anniversary present - she sent £50 over for us!
    * Check on-line banking

    Thats it!

 to Piq, Fay, MrsA, SM and all others

    Miss P
    xx

    Today I have/will:
    • I don't say it, but I realised this morning that I do little MS things ALL the time :o In the shower for eg, I shampoo my hair once not twice, and I use one of those scrubby things that has made the shower gel last about 40 times longer than it used to :rotfl: At breakfast the kettle only holds ONE cups worth of water, and I'm eating Lidl ready brek without a care :D
    • Scratch'n'click - 20p again today :D
    • brought in packed lunch and will have menu planned risotto tonight
    • and as it's Thursday I'll be doing my housework in OS using stardrops, microfibre cloths and elbow grease :D
