level a upvc door?

our back door which is upvc is not level, and as such is becoming a pain to lock.

im sure when they fitted it they used like an allen key and put it in the big plastic hinges at the sides. is this correct? if not can someone explain (in very simple terms lol) how to do it.

many thanks
xxxx

Sounds as if the door has dropped, you should have a look at this

    before adjusting the hinges.

Would think so, it's normally done in factory, but possibly the spacers have moved during transit

Depending on the style of door, it may of been done during fitting.
This is one of the most common problems with newly installed doors not working after a while.
90% of the time it's because it wasn't packed tight enough by the installer, but sometimes it just happens!

It should defiantly be covered by the company that installed it (unless it was 15 years ago!)

i will call the door company tomorrow and see what they say, it was installed about 6 years ago now, so quite a while, also when you look at the door the frame round it is square and level, its just where the door hangs you can see its not straight and level, i just thought it would be a matter of straighteneing it up lol how wrong was i lol.

i just remember when it was fitted they used an allen key type thing in the internal hinges to level it so thought that would of done it again. by the way its not a fully glazed door just half glazed, does that make any difference?

oh well, will let you know what they say.
