odd bugs suddenly found in home

Hi peeps

Wondering if anyone can help, last week a fair few bugs suddenly appeared in the house mainly in the living room, they are ladybird shaped about 1mm big and black with grey spots. I found about 15 or so on the windowsill on Saturday and got rid of them from the house, and since then have seen about 10 or so more with the last one flying onto my laptop on Monday night and my mum and younger siblings have seen them since.

Does anyone know what these might be google has come up fruitless with the searches I am putting in and my mum is freaked out by looking through the endless lists of bug pictures, we just want to know mainly what they are and if they will do any damage, next time I see one i'll try and post a photo.

It sounds a bit like the carpet beetle.

Kinda only less orange and patterned, i'm now freaked out now and feel like somethings crawling on me and Im not even at home!!

Check out grain or flour weavels. We have found that the organic flours will develop black dots if you keep it too long. Also we once kept some bird seed in a cupboard and that introduced grain weavels into the house. They were crawling all over the walls.

We paid £50 for a pest control guy to come in. He had a look and then went round the house with a spray upto 1m high. We went out for the afternoon, came back and they never reappeared.

ok theyve kinda changed colour now more browny with an orangey white zigzag pattern, do think there carpet beetles more now and think the're coming up from the celler as boyfriend has just been downstairs and theres a load of new insullation been put in so think something may have hatched in there as they are defo coming up through the gaps in the floory.

Pesky little things you'd have thought having completey redecorated the front room with all the dust and fumes would have sent them away but no came downstairs this morning and there crawling over one of the dustsheets which is now outside and they have now set up camp for the day on the just freshly glossed window sill so I will have to pick them out now grrr
