Evesham TV not working

My son has a 42" Evesham flat screen TV, it is nearly one year old, on Monday it just made a sizzling noise and cut out, he changed the fuse in the plug and then changed the lead, but there is not a peep out of it. can't send it back Evesham have gone bust.

Has anyone any idea what could be wrong or if it will be an expensive repair job or could it just be a fuse inside the TV.

Thanking You Drinda.

Sounds dead to me. A 'sizzling' sound means something was burning out
A simple fuse would blow instantly

Id say its time for a new tv
