Just to say..i haven't seen any sign of them since saturday.

we had a bottle of red wine on top of the cupboards which we used for cooking and I tipped it into a glass and found it was full of them....ewMembre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
We get them quite often too, they like house plants as well, I don't have any rotting food around. I;ve had one floating around my monitor on and off for days.0

Houseplants are a common source - eggs are planted into soil - I just had to throw out one new plantpot to avoid infecting others.0

Yes, fruit flies. I used to grow mushrooms in a box kit but stopped because of the flies.
Shame, they were cheap and delicious
