Working on the assumption that your son is not a trader or can be deemed to be a trader on Ebay and the car was as described then the buyer is on a hiding to nothing.
caveat emptor, buyer beware"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
Bertrand Russell. British author, mathematician, & philosopher (1872 - 1970)0 -
This happened to someone I know, the person who bought the car has no leg to stand on whatso ever, the car was tested by them and they would have seen if anything was wrong with when they drove it.
Ask them to supply a proper report on the "damage" they seem to have found, and also they can not return a car if it has been modified.
Tell them to FO lol xx2012 Wins - Danepak Fridge Magnet, £20 Just Eat Voucher, iTunes Song Download, Yellow Toaster and Kettle, Thorntons Bunny, 6 Months Gym Membership, £250 Multipower Products, 3 X Dalepak Vouchers, 10 minute sunbed session, Lucozade Sport, 2 X BMI Flights, Android Zeemote,0 -
You can return it if the seller has a returns policy as part of the listing. (If it's the same listing as the other post)
Now the arguement will be if the car was as described, so it won't be hard to prove either way. It either is or isn't, and a garage can certify that.
(Less any compensation if she has made the car worse by repainting it)0 -
