no wireless network

can anybody help,i have a acer laptop about 2 years old,and have my broadband with aol,but i can no longer get a wireless connection,aol tell me i need to contact acer to get the wireless setting restored.i cannot understand how it could just disappear,as i have not being doing anything major with the laptop.

    Now I'm not techie, so you won't get a techie answer from me, but as I had a similar problem last week & aol unable to help as wirless ok on main pc so they said problem must be with laptop & to contact manufacturer.

    Anyway I went to manufacturers website & downloaded newest driver for wireless card, deleted old driver, installed new one & how chuffed was I that problem was solved.

    Hope yours turns out to be a simple solution too.
    The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

    I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
