POP3 online forms - how do I do it?

I'm quite stupid with computers but manage to sort out everyday usage. However, when trying to contact certain websites using their online contact form, I always get a refusal because they use Pop3 which apparently I cannot use. I've tried to find out about setting this up but cannot get any nice simple answers. Can anyone tell me please in words of one syllable?
Thanks!
Thanks!

No online forms should submit via POP3, POP3 is an e-mail protocol for receiving mail usually... What sites and what errors do you receive?0

Thanks isofa for your info. What happens is I am on a site from which I want for info, click on the contact button, it opens a new e-mail window with Hotmail at the top, I write the message, click send and then I get a pop up saying something like POP3 cannot send this message.
I have a Hotmail email account and yet this contact method never works.
Even my teenage son can't help me!
I can always copy the address into my own open hotmail page but it's just annoying! Any ideas?0 -
Normally a contact window opens the default email browser, such as Outlook Express, and the address is written into the To box. It sounds to me as though this is happening to you, but when you try to send, it won't because I am assuming you use Hotmail via the web. POP3 is a format for accessing and downloading email to your pc.
If you upgrade to Windows Live mail then it will work with no problems as Windows Live is based on your pc, but allows you to access your hotmail account.
Details of Windows Live mail are here and you can download it from here0
