Marie Claire magazine has been in touch, looking for women to interview for a feature. It sounds like quite a sweet idea - if you're interested, email email marieclaireideas@ipcmedia.com
They asked us to post the following:
Has your best friend - or have your best friends - helped you through troubled times? Marie Claire is preparing an article to reflect these uncertain times, a piece on friendship - how important it becomes - when everything seems to be falling apart.
For this article, we are looking for one woman aged 25 to 35 - and as 'Marie Claire' as possible - who've been 'saved'/ pulled up by their friends... it could have been through small gestures and kindnesses - an offer of childcare, a small gift, dinners bought, a well-timed phone call - or something bigger: a loan, an offer of accommodation, a job.
We are hoping to find a women who has been faced with a very tough time caused by a redundancy/ bankruptcy/repossession (either theirs or their
partners) and who has been was helped enormously by their friends.
We'd also like to photograph them together. The main thrust of the piece is NOT the circumstances around it - though this will have to feature - but the surprise/ pleasure/ consolation/ support a friend brought when it was needed most.
If you know anyone who might like to be in this, please email marieclaireideas@ipcmedia.com
