They ask for ID because they have to - looks like an oversight that they didn't ask for it up front

If you don't send the ID in, the money will be returned to the account you sent the funds from

I hope it wont but at the same time I am not going to get them certified due to the costs and plus the branch is at the other side of London. The letter did not give details about the kind of ID or contain my reference number.

I am hoping that the letter is an oversight as I got the impression my ID had come back from the ID check.
