Or I'd live here:

On the market in the area we're looking at moving to. Shame our budget is up to £300k.
We've seen it, though we didn't realise it was on the market at the time. It's at the bottom of a cul-de-sac. I parked in the road and went to the bottom to turn round. The rest of the road is nice but average sized detached houses, then you swing round the corner and see this.
What I love most is the fact that most people with a pool have it in an out-building, but here, no, no need to walk outdoors in the winter to get to your pool, just open the door from your kitchen.
Also love the fact they put in his and hers changing rooms in the pool room.
Shame the EA hasn't posted a floor plan, would love to see that.
Anyone else got "if I won the lottery" houses in the towns they're looking at?

What would be a realistic budget for the heating costs on that? Plus, I wouldn't want to clean it. (Just trying to make you feel better...)0

Some of it looks very nice - but other parts look like a Berni Inn - very Essex!0

LOL thanks Pee, not sure what council tax band it is either.
In all seriousness, since we're looking for a future family home, one where littluns can wander into a swimming pool probably isn't the most sensible idea.
Wonder how many promotions [strike]we[/strike] OH can get...0 -
VOA by postcode in google gets you to the page to find out the council tax band0

Thanks poppysarah - didn't know about that site before and it's useful for checking prospective houses.
That one's Band G. £2,470 this year so council tax would be the one thing we could afford lol.0 -
It certainly is useful especially if you're looking at expensive houses (heck - they're ALL expensive!)0
-
If it's any consolation, I think it's absolutely hideous.0

Dozens!
We had a emotional weekend as something dropped into, well, not affordabilty but might have been possible make something work with selling our souls, on the Friday and by the Monday, when DH called agent, was under offer. (the previous price was 40% higher and had been on market not quite a year).0 -

My lottery win houses aren't up here.
There's a beautiful georgian house in the village where my dad lives I'd go and look at seriously. And a cottage in Cornwall (has it's own chapel!) and then a lovely place in Devon.
Out of all 3 the Devon one is my favourite.
*sighs*0
