I agree these funds should be investigated. It seems just like savings accounts where interest rates drop after the"honeymoon" period and new accounts appear with the high returns Friends provident have done the same. However unlike a normal savings account I cant move my money without incurring sever penalties. If I could move the entire value of the policy I would but they have me by the short and curlies. The so called offer they make at the end also seems to be a scam. It seems they make the lowest offer possible and wait to see how much noise you make. A close friend of mine had a similar offer from his provider and took a claim out against them using a no win no fee company. The offer was raised by £10,000 of which approximately £2,000 was deducted for fees. Perhaps he could have save £2,000 just by threatening them with action?0

What about FPI do you want to know about? As they are mostly administrators of a limited range of products there isnt a lot you can say about them beyond the facts of their offering.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
