Car / Bike insurance

Sorry if this has been asked before, my search skills are poor and haven't turned up an answer from what I can see, but does anyone know if there are any companies that offer a joint policy or some form of discount for insuring a car and a bike ?

The BMF used to do just such a scheme but the last time I looked, you could eaisly get a much better price with two individual policies.

In my experience you can make a huge saving on multi bike / multi car policies. I insured two bikes for very little more than the higher risk with Carole Nash. Many companies offer this service see here > http://www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk/upto4drivers.php

However, I like to keep my car and bike policies seperate.

Several companies e.g. Direct Line will give a discount if you have another vehicle insured with them.

If you don't want to do the leg work, phone a reputable insurance broker.

Good idea, to have 2 seperate NCD's too.

I just bought a brand new bike and it was dead easy and low cost to add it onto my ebikeinsurance policy. You can do amendments and get paperwork all on-line.

But I do the same as missile and have seperate policies for bike and car, and try to get cashback on both.

I got £40 quidco cashback with ebike.
The include breakdown and legal cover in the price.
They allow you to make changes really easily (up to 4 bikes I think).

No connection, but make sure you look at all the benefits and what you might want to do in future.

My last policy was dirt cheap but they would not allow me to use my bike on business at all, so make sure you have the facilities that you need available.

A cheap policy can work out more expensive than a flexible one if you want to make changes.

I don't know what the cashback is on ebike now, but I think it paid out pretty quickly.

Like pogofish a multi policy is not always the cheapest option especially if one of the vehicles is unusual as in this case with a motorbike.

I pretty sure in this case he will find he can get better deals by insuring them seperately, in addition it keeps the no claims seperate which has its advantages

I can confirm they do insure up to 4 bikes and include EU breakbown cover which is usually a very expensive extra.
They also include Protected NCB, cover for helmet and leathers and legal cover all as standard features.

This year, I got an unbelieveably good deal from Bennets :T

Thanks all, I guess as I were then, bike insurance is not due until August, but being as I can only drive/ride one at a time I thought there maybe some companies that do both, as the big players tend to specialise in just one area, be it car or bike.

Anyways, I'm only paying 300quid a piece FC for both machines, but with the tax on the car being hefty every quid counts :)

    Thanks again all.
