We spent 3 weeks, travelling with hire car. We spent 3 days in San Diego, followed by 2 nights in Palm Springs, then 4 nights in Vegas (Circus, Circus midweek), then back to LA for the rest and can throughly recommend doing everyhting through Expedia.
All hiring, booking of hotels and flights was done through them, it was cheap, good and everybody was expecting us which had beem a concern.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, had my 9 year old boy, wife and we renewed our vows in Vegas (without Elvis), followed by dinner in the Stratosphere, a holiday of a lifetime.
Orlando this year with 12 year old son and 15 month twin girls:eek:
    Have a great time

While I agree that booking with expedia for everything is probably easier it is definitely not the cheapest option.

I would recommend booking everything seperately, We (family) are going to LA for 3 nights from 31st march 2 nights in sandiego 2 nights in vegas 2 nights at bryce canyon then back to vegas for 5 nights.

Return flights to LA with virgin ( booked through air miles as i had some to use) You can generally only book flights about 13 months ahead.Car hire through yescarhire.com who were the cheapest when i booked a year ago, picking up in LA dropping at vegas (no one way hire charge). Internal flight (America west) back to LA booked with Opodo on one of their sale days £20 off per flight which made the flight about £19 and cheaper than booking direct with the airline.

All the hotels were booked direct with the hotel, 2 of them over the phone (using a 1p per minute prefix) the 2 stops in vegas were booked only a couple of weeks ago after witing for deals to be posted on https://www.lasvegastalk.com, I got the stratosphere for $40 a night and the Aladdin for $59 a night

Staying at a Days inn in LA and their website promises to have the lowest price or you first night is free ( I have used their website before and then found a lower price and indeed have had a free night)

Taking a little time and a bit of research can save you a lot of money over using an agent.

    hope all that helps

cant say to much on here or the mods will close it.

Earnshaw looks ok needs a couple more games to settle in I think, I wish he was a bit taller though.

It wouldnt have taken much to improve our team though as we have been crap all season
