BARCLAYS - Monthly Saver 6% - What do I do Know?

I applied for the barclays 6% monthly saver package online, last month as i was already a barclays customer.
They have sent me my a/c number and sort code and deposited £250 to open the a/c - does this count towards one of my deposits?

I was hoping to recieve a statement or maybe view my transactions online, but apparently this is not the case, do I continue to depostit £250/mth from this point onwards? (if i want the maximum interest)

Also I am a student, so do I need to fill in a R85 FORM? They havent provided me with one yet...

Thanks in advance.

Register - but only if you have a current account with Barclays - to view online

    Asked and answered.

They'll only provide a form if you request it (or indicated on the application your student/non-tax payer status.) Just contact them to ask as banks very often like to use their own standard forms for this purpose rather than the one provided at

I had the same issue with Barclays, in that they didn't send me any statements, and I wasn't able to view online. After calling their Customer Services, I asked for a postal statement each month (they had the option of every quarter), and for the past 2 months, I have been receiving these.

It seems as though the branch doesn't have a clue about the statements.

You would need to fill in the R85 for tax-free interest.
