Moving To Australia?

Hi, Me and my other half have decided that we have had enough of the uk. We know a few people in australia and they have said its really nice and the standard of living is much higher. After a quick look around it seems you can but a decent 3 bed house for around £50,000 and the average pay is around the same as it is here. We are going to try and save as much as we can to hopefully pay for all costs and a holiday to australia before we make the big jump to make sure we like it and get a £10,000 deposit ready.
My main concern is a Visa? I dont really know much about them? Whats the terms to get one? what percentage of people get them? any info, or links to info would be great.
Few more quick questions if anyone can help:
Is there any government health care?
Do you have to pay for the schools?
Any other costs different to the UK?
Also I have an MGF, but dont think I will take it with me, but if I do does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to get it took over there?
Cheers, Shane

I have been to Australia and like it a lot.
What I like about the UK is that you can get on a plane and go to different places like France, Spain, Germany, Denmark and experience the variety of Europe, all within less than 3 hours. In Australia you can't really do this, there is variety but is not so different.
Travel is much easier than it was with airlines like https://www.virgin-blue.com.au and https://www.freedomair.co.nz
If I had children, I would have gone, but I don't so I haven't.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
