BROTHER Laser - Copier, Printer & Scanner £130.00 SUPER VALUE

I already have a Laser Printer but needed to purchase a Copier for my home office. Using kelkoo I was searching for one of those inkjet 3in1 jobies "Cost issue, they appeared to be cheap".

Anyway I came across the Brother DCP 7010 Click Here for details, now this is a serious piece of kit and one would expect the price to be in the region of £250. Kelkoo returned the cheapest result of £130 in P&P from Pixmania but they are out of stock.

PCWorld Click Here have it in for £149.99, but would you believe it....... They priced matched with Pixmania....... THUD, it did take a serious amount of haggling though and was certainly not a walk in the park!

Can you get one?

Have you found one cheaper?

This is only a mono (black) printer for those (like me) who are not familiar with laser printers.
  • I am looking for a decent (but cheap) laser printer, but it has to be colour.
From what I gathered so far it's all down to the cost of the consumable as they are very expensive and usually the toner supplied with the printer are only hald full.

I was looking at the Samsung CLP 510 which offers duplex colour printing £199 & free dleivery at PCW

... Sounds good to me, but anyone knows better?
  • What about the Canon Pixma 780 or 800 at Euroffice.co.uk using discount codes 15% and quidco etc you can get the best combo around for sub£200,(its not laser though laser quality and fast)
Happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want.

    Primum non noce!

I bought an Epson C900 a while back for around £200 (been superseded by something else) after researching costs, quality etc. The other contender was a MagicColor (KonicaMinolta I think) with reasonable costs.

    No duplex though.

I'm sure there are equivalent low price models still available from both of them. Cost of consumables v.reasonable for my Epson (b/w cost as per a mono laser, and colour more expensive but photo quality for occasional use and still way cheaper/cleaner than inkjet).

Got a 3 year warranty with the Epson though with the other one a copier attachment was available too.
The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster! :)

    lots opf features

I found that whilst my Brother laser is cheap for new toners, the toner cart did not include the drum ( unlike most HP laserjets) - a replacment drum was almost the same price as the printer
( may have changed - this was 6 yrs ago)

edit - drum kits for this seem, around £50, so not as bad as I thought

not necessarily.. sometimes I view offers just to see what they're about even when not interested - I wouldn't thank someone unless I actually took up the offer.

have it for £128.53 inc. and there's something about £25 trade in with brother for your old printer, but I can't get that link to work.

I was actually looking at the clp 510, but not decided yet.
