Company or estate agent?

I was sold life cover ,terminal illness cover and accidental cover for my endownment 11 years ago which I was told was compulsory. I have received a reply back from the company which I am still paying it with that says I must take this up with the estate agent where the financial advisor worked at the time. Is this right? Do I then need to send my stage 1 letter to the estate agents? The FA was supposed to be independant and did give me lots of quotes from different companies. Help please.

Hi there

Write to the estate agents enclosing a copy of the letter from the ones who sent you this, so they know you have already tried dealing with this complaint.

Again its 8 weeks they have to respond in full.
