Be aware that by taking out your patio doors and replacing with internals that it won't comply with building regulations - if that matters to you.

Hi there, could provide more information in relation to building regulations?

    Thanks in advance

I replied to your pm, saw that first :o

Here's info on building regs regarding conservatories:
    http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/england/genpub/en/1115315206234.html

You will need 'external quality doors' to continue to be exempt. I'd go that route. the radiator I think you'll get away with but make sure you put thermostatic valves so you can turn it off rather than waste heat (why wouldn't you anyway?) I don't think anyone will pick up on that, especially if you cross it off any marketing details that an EA produces before you sign them off.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
  • Just a note on the radiator, 3,500btu will not be enough to heat that size of conservatory when it gets cold outside, I would say you probably need at least 10,000btu to do the job properley. It also should be noted that 'technically' speaking building regs are required if you plan to extend your central heating into the conservatory although it is extremely rare for building control to enforce this issue.

I'd also like to reinforce what leveller said it is very important to try and find someone by reccomendation it can work out so much cheaper in the long run.

    Good luck!
