Guarantor or high deposit or both!! advice please

Hi x
If I fail my rental credit check will the LA accept a guarantor instead of a higher deposit. My G'tor is 100 % credit worthy and owns home worth over £250K so meets criteria. Or will they ask for both. Also does my tax credit and Maintenace payment from ex count as income. My rent will be £650 per month. Thanks in advance xx

Affordability criteria will be 30x£650=£19.5k must be less than yearly income on standard rental check. I imagine demonstratable forms of income will be considered.
