Hi
I am not sure whether i am on the write forum sight for this!!
Need to help on Business to Business Contracts, my husband signed up to EMP Media for some advertising work but has decided after consideration that he can't really afford this and that someone else has told him to cancel and that he has rights to do this due to a contract having a 14 day cooling off period.
He has contacted the company and they have stated that a Business to Business Contract cannot be cancelled and that the terms still stand and payment will be collected from his bank without further consideration.
He has been in contacted with the company and stressed that he hasn't been given time to consider and felt pressured in to obtaining the advertisment for his business and that if he is in financial difficulties he can contact them to schedule a payment plan.
My Husband has explained that he is merly a sole trader and why his his money so important if they are such a big company and to cancel but there won't.
Really i am wanting to know does he have a leg to stand on
Thanks
Mgmental

I believe advertising is exempt from the distance selling regulations but I could be wrong.
Did he approach them or did they approach him0 -
They approached him for the advertising to be done
So is there no way of getting out of this0 -
Unless there is something in the terms and conditions that covers it like a 14 day cancellation clause or they misrepresented in some way then doubtful.
Lets hope the advertising brings him the business he hoped for when he signed up."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
