Fake make up set for toddler

I am wanting to buy a birthday present for a two year old. Her mother says she is always wanting to copy her put her make up on, so she would like her to have a pretend make up kit.

Lipstick, eyeshadow, etc, maybe perfume included.

The important part is for the items not to actually make a mark of colour (for obvious reasons, otherwise she would allow her little one to walk around all day colouring the house and its walls in her own make up.

Can anyone recommend a kit?

Thanks

So do you mean the kind of set that's made entirely from plastic? Have you looked in the Pound Shop?
Just run, run and keep on running!

  • The Disney Store do some really pastel coloured sparkly stuff for about £3.50.
It just looks sparkly when applied. Not sure if this is what you are after?

I gave my dd a lip-balm and called it lipstick, I think you can get a slightly pink one in Boots. Can't do much harm.

they do little sets in accessory places like Claires! also ive had stuff for my little girls from avon! but i know what you mean about some makeup not showing up i find the ones free on little girls magazines sometimes like that but i dont know where they sell it for a present. good luck!
  • Just looked on ebay, there is a 20 piece Barbie Beauty Set which describes the make-up as pretend. There are other ones too but the others have 'real' lipglosses and eyeshadows. This one is just pretend. I found it as item no. 6036824161 on ebay it is however and international seller so you might be able to find it cheaper using google or pricerunner or similar.

Hope this helps and good luck in your hunt!

Try Boots for their Glitterbabes range - fairly sparkly! They do body sprays, lipglosses and various other bits. Marks and Spencer used to do children's make up, but not sure if they still do, as our store is only tiny. If you buy nail varnish for her check out Claire's or even the local toy shop and look for the peel off stuff! Claires also do mini kits - usually they contain a lip gloss, nail polish, and a pale sparkly cream for the eyes and cheeks.

Saw today in Boots that they had some more of the Glitterbabes party kits in - lip gloss, eye stuff, nail polish and a little ring for £1.00 (were originally £4.00).
