Sorry I haven`t really read this thread, so if I repeat something somebody said already, forgive me.
We got our puppy when she was 8 weeks - sooo cute.
I have bought a crate for her in the next few days _ what blessing.
I have always locked her in for the night - she is 4 months now. I`ve been told by the vet that you do not attend to them if they wine. A bit like children you have to put up with some winning for a few days, if you don`t see to them they will stop, as there will not be any point in making noises.
I have done this since day one and she sleeps all night untill I wake up at 7am. She only cried one night, the second night we got her, and she was left to it. She never did that again. They will never soil there bed! This is the gratest thing , they will hang on to it untill you let them out.
I have only been feeding her twice, not sure if that`s the right thing or not, but it suits me.
We have the stairgate so she is in one room when I go out, I read somehere that if you let them roam the house they will be insucere ( which is what we had bere we put the gate there.
She will not do her toilet inside unless I am out for more that 5 hours, which is understandable, but I put the paper down for her and she does it on that.
They do take time to lear to listen, just have to repeat and don`t give up, you are the boss.
Hope you have a good time taining her.
