Transfer between LGW and LHR

Can anyone please advise on a moneysaving method to get from LGW to LHR?

Getting two different carriers to fly from Edinburgh to NYC and need to fiigure out the LGW - LHR bit!

Also, the time taken would help! :money:

Southern Trains - em - train to Victoria (£9.00) then Tube to Heathrow

You could also get a National Express coach to Victoria but for the savings it isn't worth it.

Probably easier to get the National Express bus, less of a hassle then dealing with the train, walking to the tube stop and then having to change tube stops to get to Heathrow.

    Bus is about £17.

I would probably say take the National Express coach. Make sure you allow adequate time for excessive traffic, missing a coach, etc. I would aim to be at LHR three hours before departure. The NX website should help with timings, etc.
  • managed to find a flight going from EDI - AMS - JFK with KLM so saves messing about in London.

Cheers for the info thought folks.
