Savings for charities

I have recently taken over as the Treasurer of a charitiable organisation. We have a sum of money approximately £2000, which we wish to invest, but gain the highest interest rate possible.
We can't open an ISA, and don't want to dabble in stocks/shares. The current rates that we have been advised so far are not very good.
Has anybody any suggestions?
Kind Regards

What are the current rates you have been proposed?
I would suggest you to look into A&L Direct Online Savings at 5.15%.0 -
There are few accounts suitable for charities ( the A&L isn't one of them ). Standard Life offers an account paying 4.25%, which seems reasonable - business accounts always pay less than personal ones.
