First, thanks jaspertilly for the tickets. My wife and I will go on Saturday and say hi.
Second, did anyone go today (Friday)? Any must go to parts or must get freebies?
Thanks0 -

Went today...and met jaspertilly obviously!
There aren't really any must go parts. Make sure you know what you are looking for as there are so many stands it can become mind boggling.
Some of the better freebies were a babygro from Pregnacare, a cup + beachball from Pampers after changing the baby, also worth joining the queue at the Huggies stand for free nappy, wipes and swim nappy.
I'd also recommend listening to Annabel Karmel, she spoke on weaning and as a mum who's been through this, she was very good, and cleared up a few things which you hear 5 different opinions on.
There's also a 4D scan stand there, so if you're preggers you can get this done...£35 for the scan + 4 photos.
However, I did get frustrated with the fact there were no recycling bins. I normally use reuseable nappies, but changed my lad in the Pampers change tent for the freebie. I binned 1 wipe, 1 disposable changing mat + would have binned a nappy if he'd started in a disposable...and that was just me. There was a queue of mums all waiting to use the facility as we left...and the reality of how much we waste really hit home.
Throughout the day we kept stopping to get rid of all the rubbish in the goody bags...again all paper which could have been recycled....I tried to stop lots of people shove paper in my hand if I wasn't interested in the product, but some of them were very persistent.
Don't forget to check out the website before you go to see if there's any special offers on any goods you may be interested in. eg startrite have a 10% off voucher on the babyshow website...was gutted as my boy only got his new shoes 2 weeks ago!
Oh, and a shock...parking at the NEC has gone up to £7 per car. And I thought £5 was bad enough.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

If anyone is going to the one in London (apparently Earls Court Oct 20-22), I got an email from https://www.greenpeople.co.uk (no idea why i get their emails - may be they had some freebie on their site at some point??!) with this offer "Come and visit us at this year's Baby Show, on stand C5. We will be offering a special discount of 20% on all baby and children products. There will also be 20% off a little something for the mums… The first 100 people who visit us at our stand and quote ‘newsletter’ will receive a complementary 30ml baby product sample".Snootchie Bootchies!0

Hello people,
No free tickets I'm afraid, but I will be there on the BabyGROE magazine stand and we are planning on hosting a free puppet show to entertain the kids for ten minutes while mums and dads have a sit down and a rifle through all the freebies! Please come and have a chat to a fellow MSE'r!
See you all there!

HI,
I have been searching high and low for a good discount for the babyshow in London.
I have finally found one. I picked up these vouchers in the anti natal book in area in Royal London Hospital. its on the first floor of the blood testing area.
They basically are buy one ticket and get a second free. Pretty cool, they are in the waiting area, if you dont find them just ask a nurse, they have them in their offices as well.
I am sure they will have these in other hospital anti natal book in places. No harm in calling your local to ask.
Have fun.0 -
