are these the cheapest?Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0

Not the cheapest twin tuner around but one of the more reliable I have found.
You can read more on them at avforums or digitalspy.
I have owned cheaper models in the past but they tend to fail or crash often:mad: .0 -
ukandy24 - I have two solutions; firstly I have a Panasonic hdd/dvd recorder connected to the cable box. the down side is that you have to manually set the channel on the cable box, and leave it that way. This works for me as I record mostly from one cable channel. The Panasonic also has freeview so you are able to record from any of those channels in addition to the cable.
The second solution is, haggle with Virgin. My V+ box was free, with no monthly charge.0 -
I had a Humax Freeview PVR for all of 30mins before I decided it was going back - the user interface on it is abysmal0

Thank you SO MUCH for this. I was all set to buy an older model for £40 more from Comet than the better model in the OP's link!!!You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0

Thanks for answering my question treboeth
I have another question. I remember on my old Freeview box it had TopUp TV channels and such like. Can you add tv channels by paying them...? I can't find the answer I'm looking for online atm...

Bigzippy the Humax have cam slots if you follow the link in the OP you will go to the Humax site.
I have the 9200(2 in fact) which also have USB for transferring files to PC (TBH this is not always reliable but if you go to Hummy.org there is a lot more advice on this).
The 9300,9150 and 9200 all have cam slots

I had a satalite dish, asked on freecycle for a sky box, which i recieved, then got a freesat card for just under £20,one off payment,at first had trouble recieving programs, then finaly got someone who knew what to do,had to switch box off, then holding the on button in,switch it back on,four lights come on(Amstrad box) then leave it till it went into standby, this updated software and hey presto now i have my channels,i am a pensioner so this was an easy way to view more channels at low cost.

Well I've had my Humax PVR a month now and I love it. Someone mentioned it's slow - mine certainly isn't slow. I haven't tried the copy from PVR to PC function yet but I will eventually. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!!
