How easy is it to cut contiboard?

I have a bedroom with an end wall made up of shelving. 12" deep and a pain as shelves as they get very dusty so am looking at putting on doors to make cupboards.
The shelving is really well made and in good usuable sections but where the uprights are there are no standard conti boards sizes to fit. So how easy would it be to buy the bigger sizes and cut the whole lengths which would be 1.8 metres. Could I get a straight edge?

Write down your Dimensions and take them to Homebase, all their stores have a boardcutting machine and will do it for you.0

But will they make neat edges and get the sizes spot on? I noticed a sign in B&Q that said so much per cut but thought that meant the big boards into more manageable sizes for the car trip home

I can confirm my B&Q cut very accurately to the dimensions as requested. The cut edges were far better than I could have achieved DIY.
FYI: High density board gives a far superior cut edge to low density chip board."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
