i am trying to put a small section of a street map on my business website to show where we are. What can I use which will not infringe copyright or be too expensive?

I have considered a link from 191.com but I would prefer to put an actual map on the site instead of the link.

This might not help but if you happen to have your site on the Joomla Content management system (it's free and open source) then you can gets lots of plug-ins. I'm sure there is a streetmap plug-in and I'm using a google maps plug in here - http://www.self-catering-cornwall.org.uk/accommodation/how-to-find-us.html

Use multimap.

Did you know you can put a free entry on google with basic details of your company and a map with a pin marking your business?

If you want to get your website high on google A6windows and myself have posted on MSE with advice and free internet directories where you can place a free advert which really helps you on google etc

Thanks for that, multimap looks good. Do I have to use it as a link or can I take a snapshot of the map and post it on my website? Some technical advice please!

Post your question up on the "Techie" forum on MSE and they will answer it quickly, they are better at that than me.

If you have any other techinical questions on your site the "Techies" are really good at answering these questions.

Whatever you do don't feed a Techie after midnight!!!

Only disadvantage is that it can make the page slower to load on dial up connections.
