Probably not as any transaction with details given that are false would be a criminal offence of deception.Unless of course you had actually changed address or agreed with the company your goods can be delivered to another address in which case there wouldn't be a deception as they new about the change of address and agreed to it.
As for PO Box I think you can only have one if you have a large quantity of mail.
Post raste which is used by traveller/backpackers at post offices on their travels, the mail is kept at the post office awaiting collecting, you could try that.

I doubt you will be able to register a credit card at a PO Box but I've never tried it so I don't know for sure.

Some mail order companies may also be unwilling to deliver to a PO Box.

Easiest solution would be to get someone else to order your goods and then just pay them.

Surely most companies wouldn't allow you to register a credit card or account to a PO Box address - after all, if you default on the payment, how are they going to chase you for it? Or am I missing something? (I probably am, this is the first time I've ventured onto this board, thought it was time I got out and about more on MSE!)
  • Could someone please offer me a bit of advice....i'm just about to graduate from uni with an MA and at the moment i'm doing admin work through an employment agency. I owe £3,000 on a mounument credit card and the min payment a month is approx £95, i'm really struggling to make this each month and i thought i could balance transfer this amount onto a new card. I'm pretty sure that i'll be turned down though because i'm not currently employed on a contract and the money i'm earning is not that good. Is it possible for my girlfriend, who is in full time employment, to open a credit card in her name but transfer my balance onto it?

I think you can do that ,I've had no problems BT's from between my cards and my wifes cards etc.
Have a good read up on the Credit card shuffle and other related Card articles written by Martin so that you are a little more upto date .that way you will be more likely to apply for a card that is within you reach or one that is tailored for your circumstances.
The best place to start is the credit card offered by your own bank they know you best and are more likely to let you have one.
Any way have a read through the articles here on the left and post back on the credit card forum if you are unsure.
