GMail down angry?

 Anyone else getting 502 server error trying to log into Gmail?

You can check status on the Google Apps dashboard.

I guess that's the problem when you rely on free services for important communications. They are ok as a backup, but not for business use, Google has had several problems over the past month.

    Absolutely true.

I've been using Zen for 2 or 3 years now, and it's only been down for sending for about 2 hours for one day in total of that whole period, other than that it's been flawless for personal and business mail.

But then I have GMail as a backup, I can read, reply and send from this as if it was my main business account so that's the point - to have a backup.

I also have an emergency Hotmail account which I keep as a 3rd backup, but this cannot read or see my main mail.

At least with quality ISPs you get a guaranteed service level, and if they don't deliver you can get a refund.
