Corfu - Greece

Hi,

Looking to go away for about 10days to Greece with me Girlfriend in mid June.

Been recommended to go to Corfu, just wondering if anyone has been there and can recommend a place.

Looking for nice hotel near a few pubs bars and restaurants.

Not sure if I have given much information here can give more if it will help.

There are a lot of big and loud places - Kavos ! for beautiful and much smaller - try Paleokastritsa - beautiful place or Agios Georgios (South as there are 2 !). Glyfada used to be nice too with a very nice beach.

Corfu Town is definitely worth a visit for a day.
I'd also recommend hiring a car as it is a really great island and you can see it all in a few days. There are some great places in the middle of the island where you can see great views. Visit Agios Markos for the local 'moonjuice' at the Panorama Bar - it is a great place and as you drive towards it you see all the bottles and places where they brew the juice!

Have a great trip - It's been a few years since I went but I have never forgotten it.

The problem is there are too many Greek islands for a lifetime - and they all seem nice !

I went to sidari when I was younger and from what I remember it was lovely, there was a few bars and resteraunts and nices beaches, as well as a beach with the tunnel of love which you are to swim through
