Domestic hot water too hot

Hi
The boiler and stat are working as they should be. The system is as basic as you will ever get. The higher the stat the hotter the water and it will always circulate the cylinder as long as the boiler is firing.
Anyone with this arrangement out there should get it converted to fully pumped.Cylinder stats should be set to 60 degrees.,It helps prevent small children scalding themselves.A TMV will help as well.
You don't need a Corgi for fitting system controls they are not gas powered. You would have been better getting a Corgi to fit the boiler stat.He /she would have answered all the above questions as well
You probably know what controls you need but are not sharing (just yet)

Hi, You are probably right, for the cost of 2 thermostats I could have probably afforded a Corgi engineer!
As for the controls, well funny you should say that ..... LOL !
Seriously though, I haven't even started looking into it, but it sounds too big a job alongside my current commitments.
Regarding the thermostat on the boiler, how come the water in the radiators & tank doesn't get any cooler when I turn it down? I'm sure I should be able to make the water almost tepid if I turned it down far enough? But all I get is very hot or stone cold. Surely such a system should allow you to regulate the dometic hot water in a fairly basic and indirect way?
Best wishes,
John0
