Hi, I bought a corner unit from LOL last year (9 months ago) which has now developed a structural fault, the frame inside has snapped.
I contacted the insurance company that we bought extra warranty with but they advised that because it is a structural defect they cant cover it, it has to be under the manufacturers warranty in the 1st 12 months.
I called LOL, only to be told I needed to call the administrators, which I did. They took all my details and said that they would need to email the administrators with my details and that I also needed to email them. I did this and have heard absolutely nothing since.
Any advice on where to go next with this?
I paid for the sofa on a credit card. Would I be covered by them?

What is the warranty for if it doesn't cover a problem like this? read the warranty agreement. Fortunately you paid by credit card. Write to your cc company telling them they are equally liable for the fault and ask them to sort it out.

Have you chased the administrators up since you spoke to / emailed them.

Section 75 applies, contact your C C company as they are " jointly and severally liable"Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

I checked the warranty and it does state that if its a structural fault in the 1st year then that has to be covered by the manufcturer.0 -

I've now contacted my credit card who said they would see what they could do but wouldnt guarantee I'd get my money back. They said I had to write in, provide a copy of my statement highlighting the transaction then they would contact me when they had made contact.
I have written a letter and quoted section 75 so hopefully that should do the trick!0
