I have been paying for a policy which for a number of years (10+) and I am not sure it is worth it now.
I will be honest with my last remortage and the increase in premium the current policy does not cover it. I have not increased the cover as I am already paying £45 per month and cant really afford any increase.
Looking at the policies these days (helpucover etc) I could obtain cover alot cheaper but I only continue with this policy because I took it out before I was dialognosed with diabetes.
As it stands I understand I am not fully covered and essentially throwing money away. The only reason I have not increased, and the reason I am questioning it all together is that through work it seems I am eligible (beause of length of service) to both a reasonable redundancy and sickness package.
The sickness would only be for 6 months then I think some sort of company insurance scheme kicks in after that.
I appreciate its difficult to give advice and the choice is ultimatley mine but I would be extremely grateful for peoples thoughts.
Thanks in advance.
