Hi all,, just seeking a little advice on a wee problem I'm having with the shop that is repairing my camera.
Here's the story....
I drop my camera and it doesn't work. There's power but the lense will not open properly. I find the address of a registered Sony repair shop in my town and take my camera to them.
They call me some four weeks later to say it's ready so I go to pick it up.
In the shop they say my battery needs charging so they fetch one of their own from another camera. However, when we put this other battery in my camera, the lense closes and then, nothing.
I say, " looks like your battery is no good either but I've seen it close so I suppose it will open again."
I hand over 90 quid and leave.
I go home and charge up my battery, put it in the camera and, nothing.
I'm not amused!
I return to the shop and explain that I'm not amused.
They keep the camera for a further four weeks and today they ring me to say that it will cost another 100 to put it right.
Now, on my first invoice it says replace faulty parts, adjustments and checking it works = 90 quid.
Well they didn't do a very thorough check to see if it works, did they?
And unfortunately neither did I before handing over my 90 quid.
I'm going back on Saturday to express my dissatisfaction with their service and ask for my 90 quid back.
I welcome any comments you may care to throw my way.

Did they quote you £90 to repair the camera in the first place? If so they must carry out the work for this price. Why do they now want the extra payment?
