Hi,i guess this is a fairly common request but been unable to find a thread with the sort of ideas i require! I have just had my hours cut from 40 to 16 @ work and had to take a pay cut from £8ph to minimum wage just to save my job due to a drastic drop in business. With all the extra time i now have i am after setting up an ebay business or similar that wont fill my house with cr*p (not much space to store stuff!),will sell easily and is easy to get hold of. I can stretch to a couple of hundred to set up,already have a sellers account and camera, just after suggestions as to what i can sell that will bring in a regular supply of extra cash! Its a big ask i know but i'm sure such a resourceful bunch as i've seen on here will inspire me!:D

You have the one question that most people would love to know the answer to and those few that do have an answer will not want to share.
There is no sure fire way of making money on ebay, it has become more and more difficult due to people's spending habits combined with fees increasing on ebay. The only suggestion is to find a niche, somehting you already know about , a hobby or an interest and research that. There is no one product that sells, markets move very quickly and what sells today may just be charity shop fodder tomorrow (as I have learned to my cost).
So start with hobbies, what do you like, look that up on ebay is there a gap in the market, can you source goods considerably cheaper than those being sold on ebay..start there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sounds like good advice to me,only trouble being my hobby (fishing) is already saturated on ebay. Have looked into the wholesale prices of kit and in reality much of what sells (or not!) is @ wholesale cost or less!0

I know little about fishing, but following that route is good advice. Don't just think of the everyday items, think of all the related stuff and check that out. With knowledge you can provide a better service, products that you know are good and useful. Can you sell stuff different to other people, starter kits for example with a sheet of advice notes you make yourself. The personal touch is always better. A lot of people will pay a little bit more if you offer advice. Write some fishing guides and put them on Ebay and they'll link to items you sell.Sounds like good advice to me,only trouble being my hobby (fishing) is already saturated on ebay. If you are going to try selling something you know nothing about, you will very likely fail.
As a wholesaler I see people who want to sell on Ebay and they constantly want to sell Ipods or similar, which have a low mark up and are saturated on Ebay and everywhere else.
Follow the fishing line (excuse the pun!), at the worst if you sink your money into stuff you can't sell you will at least be able to use it!.0
