Hello
We are having a new central heating system fitted including new boiler and pipes with a feed and return pipe system (I hope i've used the right terminology!). The house is a 3 bed semi and we will have a combi condensing boiler (Baxi)
Will we need more than one "drop" (from downstairs to upstairs pipes) again, hope I've used the right terminology!
Thanks in advance!

depends on layout
are the ground floors timber or concreteHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
You wont need more than one drop as long as the pipe is big enough to cope with the flow. The important thing is the diameter of the pipe, ideally 22mm, but 15mm would be acceptable.
Edit : I'm not a plumber. OH knows a wee bit.Life.

Hi Andy
Thanks for your quick reply!
The livingroom and kitchen has timber flooring, the hall and utility are concrete (currently work in progress - the builder is leaving us channels for the pipework to be fitted)
In terms of layout - the boiler will be in the utility which is directly below the bathroom.0 -

Thanks Steph - planning to use 22mm for the pipe work then the 15mm to the rads (I think!)0
