Nothing that proved to be directly relevant. It was a general searched based around the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. I couldn't find any specific case law on the point though (most related to unsolicited goods relate to the criminal offence, which clearly doesn't apply here). I've basically drawn my conclusions from the general feel of those cases (i.e. the feeling being that it's not meant to apply in these situations) and the definition of 'unsolicited' from the Regulations, specifically Reg 24(6).What case law have you studied on this?"MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? IF WORD GETS OUT THATI'M MISSING FIVE HUNDRED GIRLS WILL KILL THEMSELVES."0 -
To keep the recorder would be theft. You must write to the store and tell them you have it and ask them to pick it up in, say, 10 days. Inform them that if they haven't done so in this time you will assume they don't want it back and you will dispose of it.

Chances are they'll say keep it but at least you know you've done the right thing.

My aunt had this problem with a home catalouge service, she rang them up and they said for her to keep it as a goodwill gesture
