Just logged on to thank the op and saw all these posts about if the discount will work..

How do they determine if you were allowed to use the discount? Do they have a list or something that they check? I'm worried that I would have to send the orders back in case they say you're not entitled to use it I guess..

Also I don't currently access the bank account on line that I paid with so may have to wait a while to see if they refunded the difference..

  • yes because you will get the money back, but it would be easier if you created an account and took it over 28 weeks, like i did with kays and additions, then they credit your account and you pay whats left owing x
Don't forget that they will do a credit check, just in case you don't want want a search recorded on your file at this moment in time.

Discount showed for me and the totals were £1, £1 then £0 with 3 seperate orders.
Credit card bill shows as £6, £6 then £5.
If the codes do not work, which they seemed to do but in the end didnt as I was charged full price it is in their terms and conditions that that is basically tough.
So when I get the products, if they are good I will keep them if not they are on their way back.
I ordered a printer a few months ago from them that was in the sale, I used a £10 voucher that was issued to me. The printer ended up a really good deal. Needless to say after 2 months it was still awaiting stock and I just canceled it and got somewhere else. You can never prove it but I think the price was too cheap..

I'm wondering if I should just cancel my orders, does anyone who's ordered from these companies before know if they tend to honour their codes? I've not ordered from them before.. I don't know how difficult it is to send things back to these companies, do you just need to take them upto the post office or something?

I ordered a pack of baby bodysuits last week and they arrived yesterday. I should have only paid £1 but £6 came out of my account. I logged onto my Littlewoods account and it stated in there that they had refunded the £5 from the discount code. When I checked my online banking statement last night there was no refund. I checked this morning and lo and behold, a refund of £5 had been made.

So I think (and this is only my personal opinion) if your littlewoods account states the refund is/has been issued then you WILL get it back but may take a few days...

Hi, thanks for your comments, that's put my mind at rest - I don't mind waiting until the refund goes through at a later stage, I was more worried that I shouldn't have used the code after an op let us know the terms and conditions :) Thanks again!

So do they take £6 from your bank account and refund £5 back to your bank account, or does the refund go to your Kay's account (so you're forced to spend it with them)?
    Go your own way..

  • Hi All,

I got my bodysuits today, and it looks as though I've been charged 6 for them. My email confirmation says 1, but the invoice I got when they were delivered, as well as my order showing on my kays account shows 6. They also took 6 from the bank. So I don't think I'm going to get a discount.
Well, I've learned my lesson tia1803, I'll double check where the discount code is coming from first before trying to use it on an order!
