Catalogue Company Keeps Calling Son!!!!!

Hello all

I wasn't sure where to post this thread so apologies if its in the wrong place.

My 12 year old son keeps getting calls on his mobile from the Fashion World arrears department. He has had this number over a year and the calls only started about a month ago. We have received no mail so I can only think that someone has either given a duff number or Fashion World has got taken number incorrectly.

I have advised the arrears department on 7 occasions that this is the case and have been sniggered at, had it insinuated that I am a liar and generally been spoken to like a piece of rubbish.

They tell me that they have excluded the number but they still keep calling - 3 times today! I have had to take the phone off my son as I don't want him being hassled or for them to be rude to him!

Has anyone got any idea of what else I can do? When I said I would speak to the Police as they were obviously harassing a 12 year old boy for money I was put on loud speaker whilst the "lady" laughed as discreetly as she could!

Please help!

Jo x

Have you tried contacting the service provider for your son's mobile (e.g. O2)? I'm guessing that they may be able to block the number from being able to call him.

If not, they should be able to give you advice on what you can do to prevent the harassment continuing.

I've just found some info on O2's website which may help.

    These are the links:

I would contact the provider too, and ask them to intervene on your behalf.

You could also phone/email/write/fax Fashion World, telling them everything you have said here, and asking that them to confirm the name and address on the arrears account they have. Usually, these companies don't actually harass people for money for such a long time...but pass it onto debt collection. If you have spoken to them on seven occasions and are still being sniggered at, that is gross misconduct from their customer services, (of course, they could be prank calls to wind you up....from a particularly silly 'friend' of your son or someone else?)
